

Edna L. Blake of Tallman, New York passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 91. She was born in Suffern, NY on August 31, 1934, to the late Roland and Sophie Conklin Blake of Tallman. She is predeceased by her sister Ruth Brownsell, Dorothy Hopper, Joan Brownsell, and brother Roland Blake.
Edna was a graduate of Suffern High School. She worked for New York Telephone Company and Suffern High School’s lunchroom. She belonged to and was President of the Tallman Ladies Auxiliary, Airmont Seniors, Hillburn Seniors, the Spook Rock Seniors, and Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 286 in New Windsor, NY. She is survived by her niece Sandra Miraglio, and nephews, Jack Blake and Robert Brownsell, Jr., as well as many other nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered for her full and active life, caring nature, warm gentle smile, compassionate loving heart, a good sense of humor, and being a talented and gifted beautiful lady who loved to sing. She will be missed by all who shared her blessed life.
Visiting will be held on Friday, October 17th, from 4pm to 8pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern, NY. Services will be held at St. John’s in the Wilderness Episcopal Church, followed by an interment at St. John’s in the Wilderness Cemetery, Harriman, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
