Edouard Thevenot

Edouard Thevenot, born in Haiti to the late August and Berthilde (Griesbach) Thevenot, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, at the age of 95. A devoted family man and a faithful servant of his church, Edouard lived a life marked by kindness. Fiercely devoted and protective of his family, he was an extremely hardworking, disciplined, and principled man whose strength and integrity shaped the lives of those around him.

Edouard cherished his family deeply and found great joy in their accomplishments, laughter, and togetherness. His strong faith guided him throughout his life, and he was a steadfast presence in his church community.

He is survived by his beloved children: Beatrix Thevenot Monfiston, Chantal Thevenot, Clarel Thevenot, and Sandra Thevenot. He leaves behind treasured grandchildren: Philippe Monfiston, Miriam Monfiston, Christina Joseph, Andrew Joseph, and Blaise Thevenot; as well as great-grandchildren: Dimitri Thevenot, Arsene Thevenot, Isabelle Monfiston, Benedict Monfiston, and Talia Monfiston. He is also survived by his sister, Mrs. Augustine Thevenot.

Edouard was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Marie Francoise Thevenot; and his daughter, Berthilde Thevenot.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Church in Spring Valley, NY. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.

Edouard’s legacy of faith, warmth, devotion, and unwavering protectiveness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
