

Edward dedicated his career to public service as Director of Public Works for the Town of Ramapo, where his hard work, integrity, and practical knowledge earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and community members alike. He was a proud graduate of Bucknell University, where he was also a talented college runner.
Throughout his life, Edward remained active and adventurous. He enjoyed bike riding, long walks along the ocean with his wife, and spending cherished time at Long Beach Island. He was the family handyman who could repair just about anything and was always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Edward also had a sharp mind and a great love for trivia. An avid watcher of Jeopardy!, he amazed family and friends with how often he knew the answers before the contestants did.
Above all else, Edward loved his family deeply and treasured every moment spent with them. He adored his beloved dogs, Branson and Grace, and always looked forward to taking them on walks. His kindness, intelligence, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved will be remembered always.
Edward is survived by his devoted wife, Linda M. Dzurinko (Mason); his loving daughter, Jennifer M. Battiato and her partner, Robert E. Burke; and his siblings, Barbara E. Ferrao and her husband John S. of Airmont, NY, Dr. David J. Dzurinko and his wife Sharon of Plymouth Meeting, PA, Mark J. Dzurinko and his wife Elizabeth of Milton, GA, and Mary E. Goncharoff and her husband Jamie of Chester Springs, PA.
He is also survived by his cherished nieces and nephew: Elaine M. Chase and her husband Kierin of Issaquah, WA; Dr. Christine E. Peterson and her husband Anders of Goshen, NY; Jessica M. Pukowsky and her husband Lennon of Philadelphia, PA; Elizabeth C. Leposki and her husband Brian of Fort Washington, PA; Captain Jamie W. Goncharoff, Jr., USMC and wife, Yailin, of San Diego, CA; Sarah E. Helfrich and husband, Josh of Lancaster, PA; and Angelina Lotz and Jack Lotz of Milton, GA.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church.
Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery.
Edward will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family.
