Elinor W. Hock of Suffern, NY died April 11, 2015 at age 80. She was born April 9, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY to George and Wilhelmina (Vogl) Hoffmann. Elinor graduated from nursing school at Lenox Hill Hospital and was a dedicated and accomplished registered nurse for over 45 years. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Suffern, as well as the Rockland Chapter of The Compassionate Friends. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 52 years John G. Hock, a loving son Russell J. Hock, daughter-in-law Wendy, a cherished granddaughter Katarina Hock, and a caring cousin Dorothea Buyher. Her devoted son John G. Hock, Jr. predeceased her in 1992.
A private gathering and brief service will be held for immediate family at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern NY, prior to interment at St. Margaret’s Cemetery in Plainview, NY.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Elinor will be held at a future date still to be determined.
