

Elizabeth Ann Vetromile of Suffern, NY passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 with her loving family by her side. Born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn on December 22, 1933 to the late John Edward Flynn and Ellen (nee) Meehan Flynn. She was a fiercely devoted mother - both a protector and provider, willing to make any sacrifice to ensure the happiness of her children whom she raised in Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey.
After she retired from American Broadcasting Company she made her home in Suffern, New York. Affectionately known as "Bette", "Liz" and when she became a grandmother, "Shawnee" - she loved music and dancing, spending time with her family and trips to the beach. A true fashion buff, she took great pride in keeping up with the latest style trends in clothing and hair.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents, John & Ellen, her brother Edward Flynn and his wife Alice, her sister-in-law Gail Flynn and her former husband Joseph R. Vetromile, Sr.
She is survived by her devoted children: Joseph, Ellen & Martha, Kathleen & Peter and Patricia - and her grandsons Jake and Max. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Richard & Barbara Flynn, Walter & Diane Flynn and Donald Flynn along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2016 from 4:00PM - 8:00PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Luke's Church 340 N. Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ 07423 on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Elizabeth's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
