Eugene L. Pierson

Beloved Son, Father and Pop, Eugene ("Gene") Leland Pierson of Suffern, New York died on June 18, 2012 at the age of 69. He was born on November 4, 1942 in Suffern, NY to Leland and Dorothy Pierson (Stevens). Eugene was married to the love of his life, Gerri for 34 years. He is survived by his loving and devoted Mother, Dorothy, 92 and his two loving sons Dante Eugene Pierson and Robert Leland Pierson, and his Daughter-in-Law, Dante's Wife, Amanda Pierson along with 4 beautiful and cherished grandchildren, his Granddaughter, Marissa, and his 3 Grandsons, Dante, Jaiden and Brody. Eugene is predeceased by his beloved wife and mother of his beautiful sons, Geraldine (Gerri) Pierson (Rocchi), his Father Leland Pierson, his Father-in-law, Dante Rocchi and his Mother-in-law, Jennie Rocchi. He enters into the Lord's Kingdom to share eternal life with those gone ahead, his wife Gerri and his Father Leland, his Stepfather John, his In-laws Dante and Jennie, and all of our family and loved ones we've lost along life's journey. He leaves behind a wonderful family and many relatives, very near, and also far who all had a very dear place in his heart, especially his Sister-in-Laws, Donna and Deanna, Gerri's sisters. The family would like to recognize those family members and friends that have lovingly cared for and supported Eugene over the past years, especially to his Mother, Robert, Dante and Amanda who have all lovingly cared for Eugene. Eugene was so very incredibly proud of the amazing men that he and Gerri raised. Lastly, for the gift of our precious angel's, Pop's Grandchildren, that managed to help him smile despite the pain and suffering, who all loved him and cherished him so much, his legacy will live on in their future lives as they tell their own children and grandchildren how wonderful Pop Eugene was. The family would also like to extend special thanks to Dr. Ronald Stern and his office staff for the many years of medical care and guidance in Eugene's health and to Ramapo Nursing Home for attending to all of his medical needs more recently. Finally, we thank the Lord, our Savior for giving his son, Eugene the strength to fight and take each breath he could to be with us in his final days. You will be missed Pop, we love you.
