Lt. Col. Felipe Machado passed away in Floral Park, NY on Sunday, March 31, 2013, he was 74. Born to Felipe and Leonor (Davila) Machado on Thursday, November 24, 1938 in Uruguay, SA. He later met his lifelong wife; Daisy (Alvarez) Machado and began his lifelong career in Ministry with the Salvation Army, ultimately attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Felipe is survived by his wife; Daisy Machado, children; Silvia Machado, Edgardo (Sherry) Machado, Daniel (Solimar) Machado, grandchildren; Alyssa Machado, Brianna Machado, Alexandra Machado, Daniel Felipe Machado and siblings; Franklyn (Veronica) Machado and Rosa (Luis) DiCaterina.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Salvation Army School for Officer Training, 201 Lafayette Avenue, Suffern, NY 10901 on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 10:00am with the committal to follow at Kensico Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY 10595.
