

Frances M. Albert, a lifelong nurturer and the heart of her family, passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 77. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the beloved daughter of the late Lucille Dumrauf.
Frances was the definition of selfless and caring—always putting others before herself and offering love, comfort, and support without hesitation. She was known for her legendary chicken parmesan, her charmingly mispronounced words that brought smiles to those around her, her beautiful blue eyes, and above all, her strength. A true fighter, Frances faced life’s challenges with courage, grace, and unwavering determination.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert J. Albert; her children, Cynthia Stritmater and her husband Matthew, and Eric D. Albert and his fiancée Paige Finnen. Frances was a proud and loving grandmother to Mason Joseph Stritmater, Norah Kimberly Stritmater, and Logan Francis Stritmater, who were the light of her life.
She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Taylor, Rita Zappala and her husband John, and Christine Miranda and her husband Ray, as well as several cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frances’s love and influence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at The Church of St. Joan of Arc, 32 Eagle Valley Road, Sloatsburg, NY. Burial will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, New Jersey.
Frances leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and family devotion that will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
