Frank Biehler, of Airmont, NY, passed away July 3rd at the age of 77. He was born in the Hamilton Heights section of Manhattan and lived throughout the South Bronx as a child. A graduate of SUNY State College, he joined the NYPD on February 20, 1956, retiring on February 20, 1997 as a Deputy Chief. Frank was a member of various police and other organizations including the Rockland Shields, 1013 Club Hudson Valley Chapter, Captain's Endowment Association of NYPD, and the Theodore Roosevelt Association. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marie (nee Carattini) and his daughter, Susan Aviles (Brian), his son, Scott Biehler (Kristine), his grandchildren, Brian (Brenda), Mikey, and Robbie Aviles and Amanda Biehler, and great grandchildren, Joey and Maria Aviles. Visitation Friday, July 6th, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 in Suffern. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 7th, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home followed by an Interment at Ascension Cemetery.
