

Gerard Joseph (Jerry) LeBlanc of Suffern, NY passed away on Friday, January 1, 2016 at the age of 87. Jerry was born to Wesley & Celia (Wynne) LeBlanc on April 11, 1928 in the Bronx, NY. He was married to his beloved wife Paula for 54 years before her passing in 2005. He was an active member in the Sons of Italy and the Suffern & Ramapo Seniors. He was a proud Korean War Veteran receiving a Bronze Star for valor. Jerry retired from the NY Department of Sanitation after 25 years of service and from Western Electric/AT&T after 10 years. Jerry loved dancing, golf and spending time in Florida especially with his dear friend Joan DiFalco.
Jerry is survived by his loving children Jerry, Denise, and Bill (Megan) LeBlanc, adored grandchildren Frank LeBlanc, Lisa Jerdan (Dustin), and Matthew, Jackie, and Ryan LeBlanc, cherished great grandchildren Jace and Anna Jerdan and by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is predeceased by his brothers Paul, Louis, Raymond, and Robert LeBlanc.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 4, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 5th at 10AM, Sacred Heart Church , Suffern, NY with Burial to follow at Fred W. Loescher Veterans Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
