Gloria J. Meloni, 87, of Airmont, New York, passed away On Thursday, May 3, 2018.

Gloria and Joe were blessed with their first great-granddaughter, Mila, who is the light of their lives.
Gloria and Joe lived across the street from each other in the Bronx and Joe took Gloria to her prom!! They taught their children and grandchildren what the meaning of true love is all about. Gloria was surrounded by her family when she passed, which she was most likely thrilled, as her family was her whole life. Everyone she came in touch with will agree that she was a ray of sunshine and brought a smile to their faces. Gloria was, I believe, my third cousin. Her mother, my Aunt Lou, was my Grandmother Virginia's sister. They lived upstairs in my grandparents house on 222nd Street in The Bronx; Aunt Lou, Uncle Gus, Marion, Gloria, and Joan. The last time I saw Gloria was at our family reunion in the 80's.
Rest in peace my dear cousin.

To the Meloni family, my heartfelt sympathies and prayers to all of you. I had known Gloria throughout the 1970's and 1980's when I had worked for Sears, Nanuet for over 19 yrs. Every time I walked into the Auditing/Controller's office, Gloria had the biggest smile and she was always joking around with everyone. I left Sears in November 1988 and started working as a mailman for the Monsey Post Office and retired from there in the Fall of 2015. For several years, I was the mailman for Gloria and her husband.
After retiring, I left Rockland County and moved to Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. I just found out about Gloria's passing. It was a pleasure to have known her all these years. May the Lord hold Gloria in the palm of His hand.
