Helena Anne Rella, 83, of Sterlington , NY passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022. Helena was born to the late George and Teresa (Feeley) Tocci on July 7, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY. Helena met and married her beloved husband Anthony J. Rella, M.D., on April 24, 1960 in Plainview, NY. She graduated with a Masters in Behavioral Psychology from Mercy College.
Helena is survived by her husband, of 62 years, Dr. Anthony J. Rella, by her loving children Helen Anne Rella, Dianne Rella (Alan Schwartz), and Anthony Rella (Bridget Crawford), by cherished grandchildren Steven, Kevin, Christina, Clark, and Vivien, and by many nieces and nephews. Helena was predeceased in death by her brother George Tocci.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM on Thursday, May 5th at Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River, NJ with entombment to follow Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
