I can't tell you how sad I am to hear about Jason's passing.  I met him through my job in the event industry.  He was one of the vendors we used to get linen from and we formed a bond by both being Dallas Cowboys fans.  Just a few short months ago, he called me one night and we had a lovely chat and did some catching up on each other's lives.  He was so proud and crazy about his sons, Ryan and Evan and spoke so lovingly of them.  I pray that their precious memories of him will give them peace in the coming days.  To his parents and brother, please accept  my deepest sympathy.  I cannot fathom your pain.  Jason, I'll miss you sweet man!  Fly high until we meet again!

Words can’t even express how sorry I am to hear of Jason’s passing.  He was such a nice, kind and funny person. To the Leeds family - I’m so sorry for your loss.  Jason was a truly nice guy.  That’s what made him special.  I regret not staying in touch with him over the years because he was such a good guy.  I’m truly heartbroken.  My deepest condolences to the Leeds family.

First of all, Jeremy Kalina, that was so beautifully said. Tamarack was like a little family; the Leeds were my extended family.  Here is one of countless memories....I remember when I got my first pair of Roller Blades.  I would put them on, fly down the street at 150mph, swerve and deliberately fall on the closest lawn, terrified I was going to break every bone in my body.  I could not stop on those skates to save my life, but the pressure not to waste the money on my brand new Roller Blades was immense.  My dad was not having it.  Enter Jason.  He took me to Rockland Lake and skated with me for hours until I learned to stop.  I spent many, many days with the Leeds, but I remember that particular day so vividly.  There was nothing exceptional about it except the one-on-one time with Jason, something that didn’t happen with us too often.  We talked about life, we laughed, we shared the stuff that mattered most at the time. There was just something magnetic about him. His energy and that bright, amazing smile that lit up every room he walked into.  It hurts to think about whatever pain he was in, even if it was just for a moment.  I wish we could have told him that there are so many people he touched throughout his life.  His smile and energy will always live in all of us.  Sending so much love and strength to all of you!!  Evan & Ryan, I lived across the street from your dad our entire childhood - he was a special person who was always kind, funny & loved.   I hope to get to meet the two of you one day.  I have no doubt you are as amazing as him. xo

I was so sad to hear about Jason. We were good friends in Jr. High and High School. I’ll always remember the hours we spent talking on the phone, often late at night. He was a sweet guy with an enormous smile and I always loved how tall he was because it made that smile easy to spot in our crowded school hallways.

I never spent much time with Jason outside of school, but we were always in a lot of classes together. We were school friends I guess you could say and we always talked in class. I remember laughing so hard at Jason’s jokes - he had an awesome sense of humor. 

I always thought he was ‘cute’ but we didn’t hang in the same circles so I never said a word about it. To find out later that he did some modeling made me smile because I knew from back in junior high that his smile was ‘somethin.’  

We spoke for the first time since high school a few years ago and kept in touch via text for a bit. I am sorry now that we didn’t keep it up. 

Jason, there are so many people that will miss you and remember you fondly.  Rest in peace and keep smiling.

I am so sad to hear this news. Although we hadn’t been in touch recently, I remember Jason as someone who was always kind and ready with joke and a smile. We rode together to the prom and I hope the smile on his face in this photo brings comfort to his family and friends.

R. I. P. Jason... I recall the amazing fun times we had at Deer Mountain all those years in Camp, I close my eyes I can see your big grin and smile  you always made me laugh... there was never a dull moment with you around ❤️

Like other childhood friends that grew up with us, I was shocked to learn about Jason’s passing. This really hits home hard as we had so many childhood memories since Lime Kiln Elementary. In addition to awesome nature explorations in our backyards, my favorite times with Jason was skiing. We skied Sterling Forest after school for years and went to Killington and other places on school trips together. I’ve attached a photo of us on one of our ski trips together. I also liked visiting Jason and Maggie in their muffin store at Garden State Plaza whenever I was in the area to score free muffins! In Miami I was proud to see the model lying across a sofa on a giant wall banner in Jennifer Leather was my friend Jason during his modeling days. Although we lost touch over the years due to distance, I am lucky we reconnected over past several months in a WhatsApp chat group. Jason was an adventurous soul that will certainly explore the heavens as he did on earth. He will be missed...

Jason was a great guy and had a fun personality. I remember our Flyers/Islanders rivalry .. we'd trash talk before and after most games they played each other in High School. I also have fond memories of visiting him at "My Favorite Muffin" in Garden State Plaza. You could tell how much he enjoyed running that store. You will be in our thoughts and hearts. 

I remember Jason from a long time ago, he was one of my great friends,  growing up and going thru the same schools, he will be deeply missed. My deepest sincere condolences goes out to his entire family. Each and everyone of you have my prayers 🙏

Growing up just a few doors down, Jason and I spent as much time at each other's house as at our own. Hanging out, riding bikes, sledding or catching frogs in your backyard, skiing, and countless other thing.  Maggie, Gerry, and Scott were like a second family to me.  Like so many, we were separated by time and distance, but we had fortunately been in touch in just the past few months.  That he's gone now so early is nearly unbelievable, but I hope that his infectious spirit, sense of adventure, and sarcastic wit live on in his two boys.  May his memory be a blessing.

I never got to know you like I wish I had.  You always went out of your way to seek me out in a crowd.  You were a smile amidst the mass with extended hand, confident gait, ready to unleash a tremendous personality and a warm hello..  

I was proud the day you hit me up and asked to join Durante Rentals.  Our ensuing interview from our prospective covid safe locations was fantastic and lent many ideas to be shared in our coming time together.  Your professionalism and demeanor was a great fit for our culture and this excited me.  It's rare you meet a person who truly understands working for a culture brand, or not taking a good company for granted.  I believe you would have been an awesome champion of helping to shape a better organization.

On your last day you were great as always on the morning sales call.  Your leadership shown through in your questions and comments and I could not help but think how great it is when someone loves what they do.  Your optimism rang in my ears throughout the day and your name  was shared when other key people asked about how the call went.  

It's nice to read the other memories posted on here and getting to know a bit more about your charismatic soul.  I wish I knew more of you.  Our time was too short.

I believe the universe has a plan, but I struggle to understand the crossing of our paths.  I am not going to lie.  I am sad and I am sorry.  I know you are in a better place.  A soul like yours just does not diminish.  

When I pass to the next, it will be I who looks for you in the crowd.
  

Jason was always full of sarcasm and could  make you laugh even in the toughest of times. Even though we didn’t speak on the phone regularly, we would text each other and seemed  to pick up where we left off.  I will forever remember Jason as a  friend and keep his memory and sprit in my heart. Until we meet again my friend..

I will always remember Jason as having the greatest smile, awesome sense of humor, loving nature, and just a really sweet person.  I remember lots of laughter and good times growing up, just 2 doors down. I can't even begin to express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. All my love and prayers go out to the family. 

How lucky and blessed are we all to have known dear Jason, a sweetheart of a guy who touched everyone who met him.  I was lucky to spend quality time with him throughout my youth.  Living just two doors down on Tamarack Lane, he was my first friend when I first moved to the neighborhood in 1977.  We would hang at the bus stop (unless my mom made me watch from inside because it was “too cold” – which Jason couldn’t believe!); attend each other’s birthday parties, and play sports/games outside often. Jason was into nature, insects and animals from a young age; loved to hang with the super-cool Leeds family dog, “Sanka”; and was fearless when venturing into the woods behind our house to discover stuff.  The first time we went back there I pulled my long tube socks up to my knees for fear I’d get poison ivy. He always laughed at my neuroses and said there’d be nothing to fear back there. Within 3 minutes he was running through the woods with me in his arms, literally carrying me into his house as I screamed in agony from the wasp that had just stung my leg (yes he was strong enough to carry me even at that age . . . and yes, I was crying uncontrollably). Dr. Leeds valiantly attempted to take the stinger out – a true friend.  While we lost touch as adults, I followed him from afar, from his entrepreneurial ventures to his modeling, to his greatest production: his beautiful children. When someone passes, everyone says nice things about them.  But Jason Adam Leeds was truly a wonderful human being; kind and generous to all – with a witty, often sarcastic sense of humor.  I can’t imagine what Maggie, Gerry and Scott are going through. But as time passes, and the pain starts to subside, I hope they are proud of what wonderful, doting parents and brother they were for Jason and that they were always there for him.  You may not be physically here old buddy, but you will live on, forever, in the hearts of all you touched.  I’ll see you on the other side my friend.

As days went on during work and every time I either see Jason or speak to him on the phone he always had a energetic and positive side to life regardless if he was going through a rough patch. He would always know how to make people smile and bring the most in someone’s day with his funny jokes and personality. We take this for granted in life with not enjoying the small things but through Jason’s words he was always able  to bring them out. Great Friend and a Good Person

My heart goes out to all of you...  I always loved going in to the muffin shop each Saturday.  Jason always made me laugh.  I always appreciated how we were able to maintain our friendship and now our children will take up the mantle.  May his memory be a blessing.

I was stunned to hear this news.  We grew up together.  He lived in my neighborhood when I was so young I can’t remember then he moved to the Redwoods a short distance away.  Kindergarten memories of launching Lincoln logs across the play area  angering our teacher Mrs. Mahlstedt (sp?), all the way through Lime Kiln Elementary and high school, he would visit at College and we would connect  for a few years after that.  Jason was always fun and never a dull moment. Great memories of Jason and his family, playing in his house after school with his tireless cocker spaniel I believe it was (I wish I could remember that wonderful dogs name).  My deepest condolences to his brother, mother and father, all of whom I used to see often back then.

Yesterday I received the devastating news of your  passing.  My heart is broken. I have vivid memories of playing hockey and basketball in your driveway, riding bikes throughout the neighborhood,  and watching Ranger-Islander games at your house. Whether it was stopping by My Favorite Muffin or reconnecting through social media throughout the years you always brought laughter and a smile to my face. I thank you for that.
