
Jean-Pierre was a sweater designer and the President of Dutchess Fashions. He was most comfortable inside a hockey rink either on the ice or behind the bench. He coached the Little Rangers Ice Hockey Club while his son and future son-in-law played. He was a member of the Rockland Rockets, Bear Mountain Ice Hockey Club, the NY Commuter Senior Olympic Hockey Club and his favorite Friday Night Hockey Crew at Sport O Rama arena.
He is survived by the love of his life, wife Mercedes Sabater Marquis and his three children, daughter Nathalie Marquis Smith (husband Milton), son Francois Marquis(wife Elizabeth) and daughter Valerie Marquis Auerbach (husband Kimber), three grandsons, Andrew and Griffin Marquis and Trevor Smith and siblings Germain Marquis (wife Pierrette) and Eliane Brunisholtz (husband Jean).
