

Jennie Ann Maritato, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on January 22, 1942, in Howard Beach, New York, to the late James and Jennie (née Ottati) Arnone.
Jennie shared a beautiful life with her childhood sweetheart and beloved husband, Dominick. Their marriage was built on a love that spanned more than 70 years, serving as a lasting example of devotion and partnership to all who knew them.
Jennie worked for many years as an art dealer, a field she truly loved and in which she developed a deep appreciation for beauty and creativity. She also proudly worked alongside her husband helping to run their family business, dedicating herself to supporting their shared endeavors and their family.
Known for her kindness and generous spirit, Jennie was thoughtful, caring, and always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a wonderful cook who loved bringing family together around the table. Above all, Jennie was a true family woman. She adored her grandchildren and rarely missed a sporting event, recital, or activity in which they were involved. Supporting and celebrating her family brought her the greatest happiness, and she would help them in any way possible.
Jennie is survived by her loving husband, Dominick; her children, James Maritato, Patrick Maritato, and Linda Shupe; her brother, Michael Arnone; her sister, Phyllis Boyle; her cherished grandchildren, James, Marisa, Carina, Jordana, and Nick; and her great-granddaughter, Saihya. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to family that will live on in all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Church in Nanuet, New York. Interment will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, also in Nanuet.
Jennie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
