Jack you were always the go to guy when your brothers needed either personal or job advice. In fact I'll go one better and say that most guys would seek your advice before the PBA delegate. Just mentioning his name puts a smile on my face and good memories in my head and heart about when we were in the old "34" on Wadsworth Ave. Those days will never be forgotten.   you took me under your wing when i arrived at the bronx court section, and you never let go......you were the greatest friend, mentor, stand-up-guy that i've ever had the pleasure of knowing.   you were literally one-of-a-kind. I didn't know Jack, but old school cops like him are few and far between. I grew up with one fine police as my constant protector and lost him too soon. My condolences to Jack's family, and to his brothers and sisters in arms. RIP.

Jack was truly a gentleman and a great Cop. I always had a good laugh when I went to BXCB, with Jack. He could brighten your day and always had great stories. Real Irish Humor and a true Gentleman. Jack you will be missed my friend, Rest in Peace and my sincere condolences to Jacks family. Jack touched many lives , and was always willing to give a helping hand, a very good man.

Jack perfectly mentored an entire generation of NYPD in the 20th Century and into the 21st Century. He took the time to help all of us to be "COPS" by his example and his words.
