John Liam Flannery

John Liam Flannery a long time resident of Pomona, NY currently of Middletown, NY passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the age of 46. John was born to Edward and Eileen (McCaffery) Flannery on August 17, 1969 in New York, NY. John attended Saint Joseph Regional High School in Montvale, NJ and was a proud graduate of St. Bonaventure University earning a Bachelor of Arts in History. He loved movies, music, and talking politics. John was a fanatical Mets fan and loved the Giants. He was an avid traveler who especially enjoyed the National Parks. John grew up surrounded by his parish family of St. Boniface Church.

John is survived by his beloved mother Eileen Flannery, caring siblings Edward Flannery (Rebeca), Mary Flannery (Steve Schaarschuch), Cathy Zendell (Jon) and Paul Flannery, adored nieces and nephews Christopher, Kelli, Kate, Brian, Julia, Michael, Molly, and Luke and by many lifelong cherished friends. John was predeceased by his father Edward Flannery in 1993.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:30AM St. Boniface Church, Wesley Hills, NY with burial to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
