Polifrone, Joseph M.D. of Chestnut Ridge, NY. Died June 22, 2011 at age 86. Born June 17, 1925 in Manhattan, NY to Rocco and Annarose (Sarcuni) Polifrone. Joseph was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he was a member of; the Bronx County Medical Society-President from 1971-1972, Medical Societies of the State of New York and Rockland County and Order of the Sons of Italy in America Vincent Linguanti Lodge 2212. He was a Neurosugeon for over 50 years and practiced up until the time of his death.“There was nothing more important than his loving family” Survived by his beloved wife Mae (nee D’Agostino), loving children Annarose Polifrone, Laura Casper (husband Patrick) and R. Anthony Polifrone, cherished grandsons Mark, Scott and Ryan Stephens and caring siblings Pat Polifrone (wife Jean) and Theresa Emmons (husband Thomas). Visitation Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 Suffern, NY. Funeral Service Monday 11am at The Chapel at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY.
