Joseph P. Sorice of Sloatsburg died September 15, 2012 at age 86. Born May 17, 1926 in Avella, Italy to Antonio and Filomena Sorice. Joseph came to America from Italy in 1954 and married his beloved wife Angelina M. Nappo in 1956. Angelina predeceased him in 2000. Joseph was employed at Sterling Forest Gardens before becoming the owner of Sorice Landscaping. Survived by his loving children Joseph (Teresa), Richard (Sally), John (Gary), Mary Ann and George (Gayle), cherished grandchildren Matthew, Christopher, Isabella, Chelsea, Jason, Nicolas, Anthony and Thomas, caring siblings Josephine Caruso, Frank Sorice (Antoinette), Sam Sorice (Nina), Carmella Tondo, Anna Cantoli (Joseph), Angelina Vecchiano (Salvatore) and Rose Bassano (John). Predeceased by siblings Mary Abate and Pellegrino Sorice. Visitation Wednesday from 7 to 9pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901. Funeral Mass Friday 10:30am at St. Joan of Arc Church in Sloatsburg followed by an Interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet.
