It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph “Joe” Stanziani, a beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Joe passed away at the age of 77 on November 7, 2024. To know Joe was to love him—his warmth, generosity, and selflessness touched everyone he met, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Joe was a devoted husband to his wife, Laura, with whom he shared 50 years of love, laughter, and happiness. Together, they built a life full of cherished memories. As a loving father to Lorraine and Marie, caring father-in-law to Tony and Chris, and a proud grandfather to Luke, Jackson, Abby, and Nicholas, Joe always took a keen interest in the lives and well-being of his family, making sure to celebrate each milestone and offer guidance with unwavering love.
In addition to being a dedicated family man, Joe was a good brother to Nick, Anthony and Armando, a kind uncle, a dear friend to many and an active member of the Catholic Church. His generosity of spirit was evident in everything he did. Always concerned with the welfare of others, Joe put the needs of those around him before his own. His selflessness and caring nature were qualities that endeared him to all who knew him.
A true conversationalist, Joe loved to socialize, meet new people, and make connections. His zest for life was contagious, and he had a way of making everyone feel welcome and valued. His warm smile, quick wit, and genuine interest in others made him a joy to be around.
Joe’s passing leaves a void that will never be filled, but his legacy of kindness, love, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joe’s memory to Tunnel to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306 or www.t2t.org a cause close to his heart. Rest in peace, Joe. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
