It's been a year since we lost you buddy and I can't believe how much I miss you, especially your almost daily emails! You were a great friend and a mediocre golfer, but you were my favorite golfing partner. The four of us shared some great memories and dinners.

Hard to believe a whole year has gone by.   Joe, you have been missed in many ways - your kind warm heart, friendship, welcoming smile, spirit and so many times your handyman skills.  Laura and I laugh together every time we need help.

Time passes my friend, but the beautiful memories remain...

 Laura, it is so hard to say goodbye to someone you love. Joe was a “force” in our community whether he was arranging the golf schedule and changing it many times without complaining to us, playing cards with the men , attending men’s luncheons, planning the yearly golf dinner and bringing his own sense of humor that made us laugh; so many wonderful things that will keep his memory alive. 
 A man of great faith he lived each day and was grateful. As we read the words of those who have left memories we will come to learn many more wonderful ways Joe impacted the lives of those who were lucky enough to call him friend. 
 God certainly welcomed him home and reminded him of the times he fed the hungry, visited the sick, comforted those mourning, clothed the needy, because each time he did those things he did them in God’s name. 
 So dear friend enjoy the home Our God has prepared for you in joy, love, and peace for all eternity.

Laura, Lorraine & Marie, my deepest condolences to your family.  I remember when he took the time to come to my Mom's Funeral and showed us his support.  Joe will always be your Guardian Angel.

Memories bring me back —- growing up in the Bronx; your wedding day; your moving to Rockland County and becoming our neighbor again; our girls growing up together (just like us). 
Life comes with many potholes and roadblocks, but you  and Joe weathered the storm with strength and dignity. Joe faced so many challenges and fought so very hard - right to the end !

Dear Joe,
Too often we don’t tell those near to us the important role that they play in our life.  Joe, you were such a good friend to both Mike and me.  In the good days we had fun and laughed together.  You and Mike had those weekly card games, countless breakfasts out, many jaunts to local haunts and even a hilarious visit to the Judge Judy show.  And when those cloudy days rolled around, you still consistently called, visited, came to play cards with Mike at home, brought him to church when he could no longer go on his own and when he could no longer make the ride, you brought communion and prayers to him, in addition to the Sinatra music you brought to the hospital and both you and Mike sang along with Frank.  Your quiet strength and strong faith made an indelible and significant difference - thank you.  
You will be greatly missed by all your family and friends, our love goes with you and while we are so sad that you had to leave us, heaven has a new bright light.  Rest In Peace my friend.

Sending a warm embrace and all our love during this sad time. I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing someone so close and loved is so hard.  It was such a special man. We celebrate the life of a good person and mourning his passing with you. I know no one can make you pain go away but I want you to know we are here for you with a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen with, to anything else you may need. May you be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you.  His shining personality will live on in our hearts. Every time I listen to the download of oldies he did for me, I will think of him. Lou will miss him busting his chops when they played card. He was certainly a character. He loved life and lived it to the end. So many memories will stay in our hearts for always. To Laura I want you know how I respected Joe and how involved he was in his golf group and his card games. He’ll be greatly missed. His enthusiasm and his energy even with his ailments never seemed to interrupt his drive. Always optimistic and caring personality will be missed.
