

He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Philippines and Japan as a paratrooper for the 11th airborne. He worked for Alcoa Inc. before retiring in 1967. He painted houses and worked for the New Jersey Central School System.
He was predeceased by his wife Rose Marie Peine in 1984. He is survived by sons Richard and his wife Janice of FL, son Julius, Jr. and his wife Lorraine of NJ, and son Paul and his Wife Tracey of NJ, and his daughters Lillian De La Rosa from NY, Joanne Dallmen of VA, and Lisa Martin and husband Scott from NJ, and two brothers Bobby and Kenny and one sister Louise. He had 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren with one on the way, and one great great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Rt. 59, Suffern, NY 10901 on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY on July 6, 2011 at 11am with the interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
