Kathrin "Kate" Shea Antonelli

Kate was born in Suffern, New York, to Edward J. Bolton and Jean Adams Bolton. A graduate of Cornell University, she went on to build a full and loving life in Mahwah with her husband and son. After a corporate career and time raising her son, she worked as a teacher’s assistant, where her patience and warmth made a difference in the lives of many.

She was a loving wife, mama, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, and aunt. She was a friend everyone could count on, always the first to show up, lend a hand, or offer support when someone needed it most.

A proud band mom and baseball mom, she supported Mahwah’s sports programs in every way she could, coaching youth soccer when Thomas was young and cheering from the stands at countless baseball games and track meets over the years. She was just as devoted to the music program, volunteering at every marching band competition and preparing to take on a new role as an officer of the music boosters.

A model of devotion for her family, Kate was a woman of faith who volunteered and gave at her churches.

Kate met life’s challenges with a strength and determination that inspired her family and friends. She never let anything get in her way, and she never complained. She even completed a marathon.

She is survived by her husband, Steven C. Antonelli; her son, Thomas E. Antonelli; her mother, Jean Adams Bolton; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barbara and Carmine Antonelli; her dog, Pilot; and her aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her father, Edward J. Bolton.

Visitation will be held at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901, on June 21, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 900 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ 07430, on June 22, 2026, at 10:00 am.

Burial will follow the Funeral Mass at Maryrest Cemetery & Mausoleum, 770 Darlington Ave, Mahwah, NJ 07430
