Kenneth Rose
June 13, 1943 – May 8, 2023

Kenneth Richard Rose, the son of Kenneth and Ruth Rose, was born in Nyack, N.Y. On June 13th, 1943.
He was a graduate of Suffern High School, class of 1962. Ken continued his education at Norwich University (The Military College of Vermont) located in Northfield, Vermont. He graduated from Norwich with a B.A. in History in 1966. His love for the school and his classmates endured for over 60 years. He faithfully served as a guidon bearer for the 1966 annual reunion at Norwich University. He was eventually cited for his loyalty to Norwich, receiving the prestigious Sustained Service Award.
In June 1969 Ken was called to Active Duty, as platoon leader in the1st Battalion 63rd Armor, 1st Division at Ft Riley, KS. He served in Operation Reforger in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1971.
Ken was predeceased by his father and mother and is survived by a close relative, Richard Evans of Guilford, CT, and his longtime best friends Harold (Bud) and Pam Bresett and his family Sean & Heather Bresett.

A visitation for Kenneth will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901. A chapel service will occur Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 12:30 PM, 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901. A burial will occur Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Sloatsburg Cemetery, Eagle Valley Road, Sloatsburg, NY.
