Kevin Brian McDevitt

Kevin Brian McDevitt of Tuxedo, NY. Our Beautiful Amazing Son and Brother went to walk hand in hand with his sister Cori Ann in Heaven on August 31, 2010. Kevin was born January 15, 1989 at Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, New Jersey to Kevin and Theresa McDevitt. Family statement reads: Kevin was the best son, brother, grandson, uncle and friend. We are finding out just how many people he touched in his short 21 years. The only comfort we can find is knowing that Cori will be waiting with open arms for you and you both will be together again. Kevin graduated from St. Joseph's Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey in 2007. He went to Elementary and Middle School in Suffern, New York. He played football with the Suffern Midget Mounties and the Golden Knights at Saint Joseph's. He was enrolled Rockland Community College in the field of Criminal Justice. Survivors include Kevin's parents, Theresa and Kevin McDevitt of Tuxedo, New York, sister Lauren at home, sister Tara and husband John, Niece Autumn Nicole of Washingtonville, New York, paternal grandmother Audrey McDevitt and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who are devastated at the loss of this very special young man. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, George, maternal grandmother, Dee, Uncle George, his dog scooter and his sister and best pal, Cori Ann (2006). He also leaves behind his dog Layla who has already brought us such calm and comfort. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 7 from 4-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 Suffern, NY 10901.
