Louise Olsen, 91,went home on January 27, 2022. A long time resident of Blauvelt NY, The Villages FL, and most recently Airmont NY. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 72 years Charlie, and leaves behind 8 children and their spouses: Helen (John), Christina (Mark), Charles (Debbie), Virginia (Pat), Kenneth (Pia), Steven (Arlette), Edward (Jackie), Thomas (Vicki). 26 Grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren (2 more on the way!), and 1 great great grandchild.
Louise was born in the Bronx on 5/10/1930 and retired after 15 years from Blauvelt Medical Group, Dr’s Rubenstein, Ross and Kanter. Family and longtime friends recall her ability to put a last minute party together, or always having enough food in the house for a table full of family and guests. On Sundays they can always count on the house smelling like a roast in the oven, a pie on the shelf, or a pot of sauce on the stove. She will most be remembered and beloved for her annual greeting cards in the mail for a birthday and wedding anniversary. She enjoyed cooking, sending greeting cards, traveling, playing weekly mahjong, and only buying Made in the USA products. Above all else “Mom Mom” enjoyed the company of her family. In the year before her passing she got to spend time with each and every one of her Grand, Great Grand, and Great Great Granchildren. Remembering each of their names, birthdays, likes and dislikes. She will long be known for taking a genuine interest in each of their lives, and always putting others needs before her own.
