Marie Emeline Geffrard

Marie Emeline Geffrard was born on March 12, 1953, in La Vallée-de-Jacmel, Haiti. She was one of eight children and was raised with a strong foundation of family, faith, and love. She graduated from high school in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.

In 1977, Marie married the love of her life, Rochel Geffrard. They shared 49 years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and cherished memories. In 1983, Marie relocated to the United States, where she made New York her home for 43 years.

Marie dedicated her life to caring for others. She worked as a healthcare professional at Dominican Convent of Sparkill, NY, and at Robert Yeager Health Center in Pomona, NY. Her compassionate nature and willingness to help others touched the lives of many.

In 2002, Marie graduated from Capri Cosmetology School, pursuing her passion for beauty and hair care. She took great joy in doing hair and bringing happiness and confidence to those around her.

Marie was a faithful member of Nyack Church of God for many years. Her faith in the Lord was an important part of her life, and she found great joy in serving others and spending time with her family.

Marie will be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, kindness, faith, and dedication to her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, helping others, and doing hair.

On September 6, 2026, Marie Emeline Geffrard peacefully went to be with the Lord. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory and the love she shared will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Rochel; her three children, Rock, James, and Rachel; her granddaughter, Nia; three sisters; two brothers; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and dear friends.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her family find comfort in knowing that her love and legacy will live on through the many lives she touched.
