She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Jean-Jacques Jules Deceus, and siblings: Justin, Iralia, Andre, Delouis, and Lorestre.
She is survived by her children: Olgathe Samedy, Sanon Deceus, Marie Alourdes Deceus; Her grandchildren (whom she loved as her own): Muriel, Maureen and Olsen Samedy, Clifford Lynch, Stephanie, Patrick and Phillip Deceus; and by her sisters and brothers: Elvir, Ermithe, Gerda, Gerard, and Lefils. She leaves behind countless nieces and nephews.
Marie Melanie will be remembered for her love of God, her strength as a woman, and her charitable heart. She was the heart of our family. We will forever love and miss her.
A Mass celebrating her life will take place at 10AM on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Spring Valley, NY, followed by an interment at Brick Church Cemetery in Spring Valley, NY.
