Maureen E. Hennelly

Maureen was born on September 10, 1937 to the late James and Elizabeth (Hughes) McGonigle in Newark, NJ.

Maureen and her late husband Patrick raised their children in Waldwick and Allendale NJ. Maureen spent ten years at Worldwide Converting Machinery in Allendale where she held multiple positions including Assistant Accounting Manager. After retirement, Maureen relocated to Ocean County NJ. Maureen was a snowbird, wintering in Tequesta Florida. Maureen was an active volunteer. You could find her at St. Gregory’s Food Pantry in Point Pleasant or transporting/accompanying seniors to doctor’s appointments. Most of all, Maureen enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and was a frequent spectator/cheerleader at many of their events.

Maureen is survived by her loving children, Patricia Hennelly, Michael Hennelly and his wife Jean and Christopher Hennelly and his wife Kerri and her adoring grandchildren, Patrick, Michael, Timothy, Mary, Maureen, Samantha, and Makayla. She was predeceased by her husband Patrick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Wednesday December 13th at the Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Rd., Fair Haven, NJ 07704.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name can be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
