
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Michael J. Vignola, who left us on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the age of 76. Michael was born on September 27, 1949, in the Bronx, NY, to the late Michael J. and Mary (nee Romano) Vignola.
A devoted husband and cherished friend, Michael spent 50 years of marriage with the love of his life, Claire Neher. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring memories. Michael retired after many years of service as a subway conductor with the New York City Transit Authority, where his hard work and dedication touched countless lives.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Claire Vignola, and a large extended family, including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom will miss his kindness, warmth, and sense of humor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY. Burial will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx, NY.
