Nadine Gallagher

Nadine was born on July 27,1949 to a 22 year old aspiring model named Mary Agnes Gallagher ( nee Howrigan) and her husband of one year..Cornelius ( Neil ) James Gallagher , a crane operator later to become a Stationary Engineer with the NYC Bd. of Education for over 35 years .

Nadine Patricia attended Robert Bellarmine Catholic Elementary School in Bayside and later attended Bayside High School.

The family than moved to Rockland County ( Tallman, NY ) in late '63. Nadine continued High School at Albertus Magnus transferring later to Suffern High School.. where Nadine enjoyed the public school environ.. and was later a color guard captain..

Nadine would than go on the SUNY Oneonta with her eye on a possible teaching degree but would shift back downstate to Rockland Community College where she found her footing gaining her degree as a Registered Nurse, as mom would do shortly after. Na than went to work at Good Samaritan Hospital specializing in Respiratory Therapy.

Later moving to Sullivan County NY...which would bring her to the longest path of her nursing career at Harris Hospital where her nursing skills were sharpened gaining additional certs. joining the Cardio/Respiratory team, her experience would bring Nadine to Supervisory level where she would complete over three decades of service to Harris Hospital and thousands of patients in the years to come. Patient care was of the utmost importance to Nadine.

Nadine is survived by brothers Neil, Brian and Conan..as well as nephews Brian Jr., Brandon, niece Christina, and nephew Patrick Fuchs. Predeceased by mom and dad...our youngest sibling Ellen and nephew Morgan D. Gallagher. Special thanks and a big hug to Nadine's companion of over 27 years through thick and thin, pain and joy, Ms. Genevieve Dainack of Forestburgh , NY.
