

Nancy Jean Delescinskis, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and passionate craftswoman, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024, in Suffern, NY, at the age of 89. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, on January 14, 1935, Nancy was the daughter of the late Henry and Stella (Hardic) Presutti.
Nancy’s life was marked by her devotion to family, her love for crafting, and her entrepreneurial spirit. After meeting her beloved Noah Delescinskis at the University of Buffalo, the two eloped in 1957, beginning a lifelong journey of 55 years together. They raised their family in Suffern, where Nancy’s dedication to her children and her creative endeavors was always evident.
A proud graduate of Slippery Rock University in 1956 and the University of Buffalo in 1958, Nancy’s education laid the foundation for her lifelong pursuit of knowledge and growth. In 1976, alongside two dear friends, she co-founded The Gift Cupboard, a beloved shop where they sold their handmade crafts. Nancy’s talent for knitting and sewing was well-known to all who crossed her path, and she poured her heart into her work, leaving behind countless beautiful creations. She retired from the shop in 2016.
Nancy treasured time spent with her family, especially during their trips to Pittsburgh, where they made cherished memories. Her love for her children and grandchildren was boundless, and she took great joy in watching them grow.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Laurel Winter and her husband Terry; sons Tony Delescinskis and Ted Delescinskis and his wife Janelle; as well as her grandchildren, Shae Winter and his wife Elaina, Joseph Delescinskis, Daryn Delescinskis, and Christina Delescinskis. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Noah Delescinskis.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation services were held privately. Her family takes comfort in the knowledge that Nancy’s love and legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
