Nancy DiDona, mother and grandmother, is survived by her sons, Robert (Rebecca) and Gregory (Lori) and grandchildren (Margaret, Alice, Katherine, Jake, and Joseph). We take great comfort in the knowledge that she is reunited with her grandson, Jackson, and so many other loved ones in eternal rest.
Dr. Nancy DiDona was a nurse and educator for more years than she wasn’t. She served the healthcare industry since her graduation in June of 1975—a legacy and contribution of more than 50 years to the field of nursing. Her impact on students, patients, and their respective communities will certainly continue in the lives of those she affected. Nancy was a strong woman. If you knew her well, you knew her countenance; further, you knew her love, support, and kindness. May she rest in peace: As the stone ripples on the lake, so too will her earthly life ripple in the community, at Dominican University, and in her family.
Nancy also made a mean lasagna—chef’s kiss.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19th from 4-8pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20th at 9:30am at St. Catharine of Alexandria Parish, 523 Western Hwy S., Blauvelt, NY 10913. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to the Dr. Nancy DiDona Memorial Fund. Link:https://www.givecampus.com/s/ff0axe
