Nancy was devoted mother to her four children, Alan Harding of Brooklyn, Lisa Keal (Matthew) of Southington, Conn., Jeffrey (Rita) of Mahwah, N.J., her late son Matthew, whose wife Karen Green Harding of Gardiner, N.Y survives him. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, as well as her brother Paul Wiemer.
She was a loving grandmother to Timothy Keal, Carolynn Keal (Angel Fay), Campbell, Satchel, Luca Harding, Ian Harding, and many nieces and nephews. She is further survived by her brother Petie (Josephine), sister Madeline Doss, sister-in-law Margie Weimer, and her dearest sister and best friend Lorraine (Alfred) Booth.
Nancy was a lifelong member of the Suffern Women’s Club, and a committed volunteer, serving at the front desk at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern for decades. An avid seamstress, every year for the hospital’s gala, she sewed dozens and dozens of decorative vests and uniforms for the wait staff as well as the banners that hung in the hospital and in the gala event space.
A 35-year survivor of breast cancer, Nancy also devoted hundreds of hours to the American Cancer Society where she organized the annual daffodil drive and managed the Christmas gift-wrapping booth.
At home Nancy was a wonderful cook and baker, and saw to it that her family sat down for dinner together every night of the week. When her children were young she served as both a Cub Scout leader and a Girl Scout leader and she absolutely loved throwing and going to garage sales.
