

Pierre R. Cadet, 77, of Nanuet, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family and friends. Born on November 10, 1948, in Haiti, he was the beloved son of the late Charlotin Loubeau and Irene Cadet.
Pierre dedicated more than 35 years of service as a Maintenance Worker at Rockland Community College, where he was respected for his hard work, dependability, and kindness to everyone he met.
A faithful parishioner of The Church of Saint Joseph, Pierre proudly served as an usher for many years. His strong faith and willingness to help others touched countless lives within his church and community.
Pierre was known as a devoted father, caring brother, a loyal friend, and the beloved “Cool Uncle” to his many nieces and nephews. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and could always be counted on by those who knew and loved him. He cherished his family deeply and created lasting memories through his warmth, humor, and generosity.
Pierre also had a passion for cooking and took great pride in preparing meals for family and friends. He especially loved jerk chicken and was known as the “only chef” who could cook his food just right. Sharing food with loved ones brought him great joy.
He is survived by his loving sister, Marie L. Ledan; his brother, Esteven Cadet; his dear friend, Henrie C. Azemal; and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Jehann N. Cadet, who passed away on May 24, 2023.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Saint Joseph. Entombment will take place afterward at Ascension Cemetery.
Pierre’s kindness, faith, laughter, and love for his family will be remembered always and missed dearly by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
