Pierrot Dorsainville

Pierrot Dorsainville, a longtime resident of Rockland County NY, passed away on January 20, 2026. He was 85 years old. Pierrot was born on September 20, 1940, in the province of Artibonite in Haiti to the late Ovid and Anaida (Desinor) Dorsainville. Before his retirement, he worked as a laboratory technician for the blood bank at NYU Medical Center in NYC for 50 years! Pierrot was a wonderful husband, loving father and an encouraging friend to all who knew him. He was an avid reader, a true historian and a fanatic of soccer. His calming demeanor was grounding; his humor was uplifting and his strength unshakable like his 30-year-old Toyota Tercel that he loved so much!

He is survived by his wife Margareth Beauharnais Dorsainville, his children Alix Dorsainville, Nathalie Dorsainville, Stanley Dorsainville, Nathalie Vignier and his pet Boca. He is also survived by his grandchildren Austyn and Anika Dorsainville, Briana Garcia and Elijah Vignier.

A Mass of the Catholic Burial is scheduled for Saturday, January 31st at 12:00 pm at The Church of Saint Joseph, 245 N Main St, Spring Valley, NY 10977.
