Roberto Tornetti

Born on March 31,1929 in Isernia, Italy, Roberto lived a life defined by love, integrity, and dedication to his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a loving grandfather.

Roberto immigrated to the United States in 1963 to pursue the American Dream. He worked in New York City for 28 years as a union carpenter where he had the opportunity be a part of building some of the most well-known skyscrapers in the world including the Empire State Building, World Trade Center, Trump Tower, and Saks Fifth Avenue. He was known for his attention to detail and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he enjoyed updating his family home in Brooklyn, gardening vegetables and fruit trees, playing cards and Bocci, and visiting Atlantic City.

Above all else, Roberto cherished his role as a father and grandfather. He led by example, offering unwavering support, guidance, and unconditional love. His family is grateful for the countless memories they have together.

Although his beloved wife, Vincenza, passed away in 2017, he is now survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Giovanna and Steven; his grandchildren, Amanda, Steven, and Christopher; his brother and sister, Fernando and Rafellina; and several extended family members.

Visitation will be held at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901, on July 2, 2026 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at The Church of the Presentation on July 3, 2026 at 10am located at 271 W Saddle River Road Upper Saddle River, New Jersey. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate his life and share cherished memories.

Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the legacy of love and strength that Roberto leaves behind. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
