Ronald, called "Ronnie" by most, attended St. Peter Claver RC School, PS 138,and graduated from Erasmus Hall HS in Brooklyn. There he met the love of his life Renee, who later became his wife. That union produced two beautiful daughters, Shawn and Sherene.
Ronnie served his country as a member of the US Airforce for three years. A year and a half were spent in Thailand during the Vietnam conflict. He was very proud of his military service. His Airforce experience fostered his love and passion for aviation. Ronnie also served many years as a supervisor for the NYC Department of Parks.
As a child, Ronnie enjoyed building and taking things apart. He was incredibly talented with his hands. Although, at times, when putting things back together, there might be a piece or two left over!
Ronnie loved his family and enjoyed spending quality time with his children, on vacations, holidays and weekend trips to the beach. His greatest thrill was spending time with his five grandchildren in Atlanta, GA.
Ronnie found great pleasure in verbally sparing with family members discussing politics & current events. He was a man of strong will and conviction.
His love for friends, family and fun is how he will be remembered.
Ronnie leaves to cherish his memories two daughters, Shawn Smith and Serene Mullins (Rodney Mullins), five (5) grandchildren, Bryson (17), Dylan (15), Stone(14), Sloane "Gigi" (11) and Peighton (9). He is also survived by his brothers Howard (Dorothy), Charles (Virginia), Barry (Lavern), his beloved sister Marilyn Warren (Jimmie) and cousin Andrea St John, who was like a sister, along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ronnie leaves us to rejoin with his mother, father, Uncle Arthur, Aunt Edith and beloved niece Deidre in everlasting PEACE!
