Heaven Gained Another Angel....Samuel Joseph Anzalone, Age 87 of Wesley Hills, NY formerly of Central Valley, NY past away at home on December 30, 2016. Sam served in the U.S. Marine Corps, Rank of Sergeant in the Korean War. He received the National Defence Service Medal.
Sam was a graduate of Syracuse University 1952 and retired from the Meadowlands Race Track as General Manager, Executive Vice President. Sam received numerous awards for his outstanding contributions in Harness Racing and was inducted into the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen, NY. Beloved husband and "sweetheart" of Mary Anzalone of 59 years of marriage. They have four daughters, Susan, Sandra, Sharon and Sally, three son-in-law, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Service will be held at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, Suffern, NY on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 from 2-4 pm.
