June 2, 1942 - September 3, 2025
Suzie was born in Cayes, Haiti, to Marie Rose St. Helene Dorvil and Romanes Saint Juste on June 2, 1942. She attended the Sisters of Saint Francis of Assisi (Saint Francois d'Assise) in Maniche for her primary education. Then, she was transferred to Torbek to the same congregation for her patent studies.
After her graduation she moved to the city of Port-au-Prince for a short period of time from where she met her husband, our deceased father, Jacques Botrel Lamothe. After their marriage they moved to Cap-Hatian the hometown of our late father, together they had four children. While she lived there she continued with her studies until she obtained her teaching license at the City's Normal School. After she received her teaching license, she was commissioned in Ouanaminthe to the Sisters of Saint Francis of Assisi. She spent more than twenty five years teaching there. She has trained many students who have now become doctors, engineers, lawyers, professors and so on. Then she was transferred to the city of Cap-Hatian where she taught for another fifteen years until she retired in 2007.
Mme. Suzie Lamothe was a strong woman with a sweet personality, she's like a mother to everyone, not only her own children but to everybody she met including her students and kids in the neighborhood. Also, another part of her strong character it is her ability to make friends everywhere she goes.
She was a woman of faith, loving, always very supportive and willing to helping others, she was the most wonderful of all moms.
