Sylvia Diane Francis

Sylvia Diane Francis 60, of Spring Valley NY passed away July 13th , 2021. She was born in Suffolk Virginia on February 8th, 1961. She moved to New York in 1971, where she had all her children and loved her community, Spring Valley. She worked for several places where she took care of special needs, elderly and school aged children. Also adopting a boy as her own. Her last job was at Fountain View retirement home as a Security Guard. She took pride in taking care of the residents and loving on her co workers. Diane was known to be the life of the party. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went. She was the best mother to us and the best grandmother to her grandkids. She was a giver at heart and would give you her last. She enjoyed talking about the Bible and encouraging people “that with God's help you can make it”.

Sylvia is Predeceased by her parents, Alberther Francis and James W. Francis; her brothers James W. Bonnie Francis, Willie Floyd Francis and Little June Sheppard.

She is survived by her children: Yakiesha Morbeth of Kingston NY, Coreen Sanchez of Kingston NY, James A Grey of Spring Valley NY, Rose M. Grey of Spring Valley NY, and Tiffany N. Francis of Spring Valley NY; her sister Margo Francis of Kingston NY; her half siblings Margo Fields of Brooklyn NY, Delores Dubno of NJ, Odell Allen and Joseph Williams Francis of Virginia; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, life long friend and family Ashley Grey and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly.
