Teresa Jones

September 10, 1927 – September 16, 2019

Teresa Jones passed away on September 16, 2019 after a short illness with her son at her side. Teresa was born on September 10, 1927 in Nenagh Tipperary Ireland. Teresa was lovingly known as Red by her friends and family. She grew up with her husband to be in the same small town. She came to the United States in 1948 and lived first in New York City where she was a waitress at Schrafft’s. She then moved to The Bronx where she lived for many years before moving to Suffern NY. She was an Irish girl at heart and always considered Ireland home. She and her husband John Noel married in 1950 and had their son John Noel Jr. a few years later.

Teresa was happiest spending time with family and friends with a cup of tea in her hand and a piece of cake. She is survived by her son John and daughter in law Jane.

Funeral services will be at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home in Suffern NY on Friday September 20, from 4 – 8 pm. On Saturday September 21 a prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 10 am followed by a Christian burial at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont NY.
