Tom was born on August 10, 1952 to Thomas and Marie (Pipp) Borczyk. He was the lovable baby brother to his older sisters Mary and Priscilla before becoming the devoted, loving husband to Carol and selfless father to Elizabeth, Nicole, and Jennifer. Tom passed away in his home on November 18, 2021 after a challenging battle with primary progressive aphasia, a rare form of dementia. He is survived by his wife, Carol (Cozza); daughters, Elizabeth, Nicole, Jennifer; sisters, Mary (Fred) & Priscilla; mother-in-law, Gloria; nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, and his four-legged friend, J.D.

Tom attended the French Culinary Institute in Manhattan and had an unbelievable talent for cooking. His family would rather eat a delicious home cooked meal than go out to a restaurant for dinner. He was an avid sports fan, a lifelong Yankees fan and loyal Giants fan. Tom also had a passion for music -- even when his memory was fading, he was still able to name the title and artist of rock greats from Bob Dylan to the Rolling Stones to The Grateful Dead, and everything in between. Although a quieter guy, Tom truly had a way of getting everyone in the room laughing. His time on this earth was nothing short of remarkable, and he will always be admired for his strength, perseverance, selflessness, wit, humor, and infectious smile. Tom will forever be remembered as a beloved husband, an incredible father, and a ray of sunshine to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Family will receive family & friends on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 5 - 8pm at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, 177 NY-59 Suffern, NY 10901. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Church of the Presentation, 271 W Saddle River Rd, Upper Saddle River, NJ 07458.

Tommy and I were good friends while attending Mahwah H.S. and in Tampa during our first year in college. One memory, of many, is our all night bus trip from Tampa to Ft Lauderdale. We were two long-haired young men traveling through 1970 redneck central Florida. When we entered a truckers restaurant at 2 a.m. the entire place stop talking and stared at us for a several minutes. It was an Easy Rider moment but we survived.

I am so sorry for your loss. Tom was such a wonderful father to his three beautiful daughters. I can remember spending summers with Jennifer in grade school, creating outlandish performances and Tom was always one of our biggest fans. Not to forget, he always made the best food! Tom was very loved and will be greatly missed.
