

Vito was born on December 20, 1939 to the late Gianbattista and Chiara Rosa (Bruno) Pentrelli in San Mauro Forte, Italy.
In 1957, at the age of 18, Vito left Italy and came to the United States in search of the American Dream. He met the love of his life, Anna Maria Rifilato and they were married in the Bronx, NY in 1964. They started their Family in 1965 when daughter Roseanne was born, followed by Angela in 1969. They resided in Yonkers, NY until they moved to Spring Valley, NY in 1980.
Vito Was an auto mechanic by trade and in 1968, he and his brother Jack partnered together to open an auto repair business in Rockland County, NY. They remained partners until they retired in 2003.
Those who knew him would say that Vito was a fun loving, happy go lucky man who always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. He would light up any room he walked into with his positive attitude. He loved nature and spending time with his pet parrot and turtle. Vito was very handy and was always busy doing home improvement projects. He loved spending time with his family and he had a passion for cars and loved watching wrestling and action movies.
Vito is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Maria Pentrelli; loving daughter, Angela DeMario and her husband Ricky; caring brother, Jack Pentrelli and his cherished grandchildren, Kayhan, Amir, Yasmeen, Anthony and Ricky, Jr. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survived him.
Vito was predeceased by his beloved daughter Roseanne Baratali in 2015 and his sister Teresa Leo.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 from 3-9pm at the Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Rt. 59, Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 28th at St. Anthony’s R.C. Church in Nanuet, NY. Entombment will follow at St. Anthony’s Mausoleum also in Nanuet, NY.
