My mother, brother and i moved to Berkley Square in the late 70's. We only lived there for a year (i think, time has a way of blurring things). Wayne became my best friend instantly. I remember having to be quiet while Mike was taking a nap. Man, we played around every inch of that apartment complex . Still some of my greatest childhood memories that are easily recalled. Wayne, thank you for memories that still live with me today

Wayne- Gannonator- I can remember when we first met at Police Academy, sitting in class on a Saturday, joking around and sharing our Military stories and then Graduating from the Academy, Spring Valley Graduates taking pretty much all the Awards. I can sit back and reflect at our Police Academy graduation dinner with our families, your Dad, Mom and my In Laws were so so very proud of us Wayne. You always said we were Batman (Joe) and Robin (Wayne) and we didn’t take nothing from nobody, we were so proud to put our uniform on, inspecting each other, like we’re back in the Military getting ready for a full blown inspection. Wayne I miss you dearly, I spoke to you on November 1st and we both said we love each other and I was so glad you came into my life as well as my family, even though my family said you and Wayne are going out to have some beers. Wayne I’m hurting now, you also had to do it again and you will be buried on Marine Corps Birthday Brother, you are something else, I know you will stand guard, protect the weak and we will see each other again on the other side. Love you Brother until we meet again.

Wayne, Brother,
I am so glad I got to know you, you were a special person. We had some great laughs along the way. Whether at work or when we had a chance to grab a beer. Then, when our wives passed away about 5 days apart, we became brothers in the "shittiest club ever" as you so accurately put it. I know you helped me through it and I hope I helped you too. You are back together now.

The world will go on but it will be a lot less fun without you.
My prayers and condolences' to your boys and family.
God Bless and Love
From Your Brother from another Mother,
Paul Hiler
