ALESHIA SUZANNE FAIDLEY SUGAR LAND - Aleshia Suzanne Faidley, 38, of Sugar Land passed away Sunday, February 28th after a brief illness. She was born June 14, 1977 in Victoria, Texas to Gail Prince Faidley Parker, now of Sugar Land, and Andrew Glenn Faidley of Blossburg, Pennsylvania. She was a 6th
generation Victorian on her maternal grandmother's side of the family, and attended Our Lady of Victory parochial school and St. Joseph High School. She graduated from Victoria High School in 1995. While in school she loved to participate on cheer and dance teams (St. Joseph Starlighters and the VHS ictoriadores) as well as the volleyball team. Upon graduation from high school she attended Blinn Junior College and Victoria Junior College, where she graduated with an Associate of Applied Sciences in Legal Assisting. After graduation she worked for Minton, Burton, Foster & Collins Law Firm in Austin; Eastom, Watson, Dale & Forney Law Firm in Houston, and First Community Bank in Sugar Land, before moving into the hospitality industry for several years. Most recently she worked for Legends Hospitality for the Sugar Land Skeeters at Constellation Field. In 2014 she became a 911 Dispatcher for the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department, which was a source of great pride for her. Most of all she loved being a mother to the light of her life, her daughter Ashlyn Paige Faidley, and she enjoyed being a spectator at Ashlyn's activities, Victory Viper Cheerleading competitions, tennis lessons, and voice lessons. Everyone who
knew Aleshia knew she also had an affinity for God's little furry creatures, especially her cats, which she doted on. Aleshia's warm personality and lilting laugh helped her make friends easily, and she accumulated many throughout her life. The passion she felt for baseball, most especially the Atlanta
Braves, was another catalyst for adding to her cache of friends. She watched the game tirelessly, and frequently conversed on Facebook with her many fellow Braves fans about the current standings. She was thrilled when she was hired to work at Constellation Field, which gave her the opportunity to work in the
pastime that she loved so much. In addition to her daughter Ashlyn, Aleshia is survived by her mother Gail Prince Faidley Parker, her step-father Randy Parker,
and her father Andrew Glenn Faidley. Aleshia is also survived by her brother Aaron Faidley, her step-brother Christopher Parker, her step-sister Amanda Parker Starrett, her maternal greatgrandmother, Louise Depine Prince and 3 nieces and 2 nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal Grandfather, Gorman W. Prince Sr., and paternal grandparents, W. J. & Dorothy Roell Faidley. Her wonderful spirit, joy, and talents will be celebrated at a viewing/vigil/reception at Settegast-Kopf Funeral Home at 15015 Southwest Fwy., Sugar Land, Texas from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, March 3, and a funeral mass at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land, at 10:00am Friday. Immediately following the mass, a light lunch will be served in the parish hall. Interment is scheduled for 2:30pm on Friday in Victoria at the Mausoleum at Resurrection Cemetery. Serving as Pall Bearers will be her Uncle, Bill Prince, cousins Bruce Prince, John Banse and Jack Wardlow, brother-in-law Chad Starrett and FBCSO supervisor, Captain Matt Carter.
