

Ana Rosa Dosal Cambrils passed away, at the age of 101 years, on March 9, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Ana was born in Jamaica, on August 19, 1924. The daughter of a British mother, Rose Evelyn Murray, and a Spaniard father, Manuel Dosal del Valle.
Ana was raised in Victoria de las Tunas, Cuba, where she distinguished herself as a pillar of the community, by being co-founder of the city’s distinguished Business College and her entrepreneurial endeavors.
After moving to the US in 1966, Ana settled with family, in Boston, Massachusetts. She then secured a position with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. There she built a successful career that afforded her a comfortable life, early retirement, and the ability to become a seasoned world traveler.
During her many years living in Boston, Ana was on the board of the Cuban Cultural Club, and an active member of the Spanish Institute and her parish of St. Columbkille, in Brighton, MA.
In their mid-90’s, when it became difficult to fend for themselves, Ana and Manuel moved to Richmond, Texas, to be cared for by family.
Ana is predeceased by her beloved husband, Manuel Cambrils, her siblings Blanca, Pablo, Jorge, Luisa, Antonia, Estrella, Victor, Gloria, Pedro, and her stepdaughter Maria. She is survived by her sister Betty Calvo and her husband, Alberto Calvo, her niece/daughter, Luisa Carrasco, and many much-loved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 am with Mass to follow at 9:30 am on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at the Chapel of St Basil, the Chapel with a gold dome, at the University of St Thomas, 3802 Yoakum Blvd. Houston, Texas 77066. A reception will follow at Settegast-Kopf Co at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Fwy Sugar Land, TX 77478.
