Born on August 26, 1930, and passed away on July 14, 2026.
Barbara, age 95, was a kind, caring, and loving soul that left her body to be at peace with so many of her family who passed before her.
Barbara was born in Manchester, Connecticut, to Mildred (Lipp) and Alton Hall. Growing up, she was active in her community, school, and church. She loved to dance, sing, and spend time with family. She was a member of the Rainbow Girls, Manchester High School band as a drum majorette and a part of the Drama club where she met her husband, Roger E. Schubert. They graduated together, from Manchester High School, in 1948.
After graduating Wesley College in 1951, she went on to marry Roger in 1952 and raise four children. Barbara was an active member of her community and volunteered with the Girl Scouts, the United Methodist Church, and the women’s clubs of the many towns they lived in: Norwalk, CT; Lawrenceville, NJ; Westborough, MA; Palm Coast, FL; and Vero Beach, FL.
Barbara and Roger spent 57 years together, enjoying family, traveling, playing cards, and spending time at the beach. After Roger passed, Barbara was lucky to reconnect with college friend, John (Jack) Vaughan. She and Jack spent the last 15 years of her life as loving companions, traveling, and enjoying friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger E. Schubert and brother, Roger A. Hall. She leaves behind her four children: William R. (Robyn) Schubert of Vero Beach, FL; Lawrence H. (Judith) Schubert of Chilmark, MA; Thomas A. (Michelle) Schubert of Frankfort, KY; and Nancy J. (Christopher) Riffe of Needville, TX; her grandchildren: Laura, Eric, Russell, Rachel, Tori, Ryan, Denise, Cara and Daniel; and six great-grandchildren: Oren, Claudia, Owain, Penelope, Charlotte, and Selene.
