Betty, age 87, joined her family and friends in Heaven on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Harbor Hospice in Houston after a sudden illness. She was born June 15, 1931 in Dayton Ohio to the late Eugene and Nina V. Sharrett Rasnick.

She retired from Kettering Medical Center as a phleboto-mist in 1993 after working in the medical profession around Dayton for 24 years. She was always the loving, devoted “Mom and Grandma” throughout her life.

In Ohio, Princeton Pike Assembly of God (Hamilton) and Bethel Christian Temple Assembly of God (Dayton) were her places of worship and service to God. She was active in the Women’s and Senior’s ministry.

In December 2013 she relocated to Richmond, Texas to be with her daughter. Betty enjoyed many hobbies which included traveling, reading, knitting, sewing, and cooking.

She is survived by her daughters Sheila Prettyman Baker of Orlando, FL, Paula Prettyman of Richmond, TX, son-in-law Stephen Baker of Orlando, FL, granddaughter Mollie Baker of Los Angeles, CA, and loving dog Felix of Richmond, Tx.

Visitation 6-8pm March 8, 2019 at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek in Sugar Land, Tx. Her final resting place will be Rosehill Cemetery in Hamilton Ohio.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Tennessee, www.stjude.org.

God saw she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be;

So he put His arms around her, and whispered, “Come with me.”

With tearful eyes we watched her suffer, and saw her fade away:

Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest:

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the Best!
