My favorite memory of us was a simple moment. We were reminiscing on how far we had come over the years. From Palladium, to Texas A&M, to learning how to "adult" together...I remember so clearly how you looked at me and said "we are more than friends now, we are a part of each other's story. " Although your story was cut short you will forever be a part of mine. So here's to a once in a lifetime friend, you loved me at my worst and celebrated with me at my best. I love you more than I could ever put into words & I will miss you for the rest of time.

Oh sweetheart.. thank you for being a friend I always knew I could go to. You probably don’t remember this, but back in elementary school we used to sit under the desks during SSR to giggle at silly pictures in books. We used to share our smelly markers and snacks with each other all the time haha. I still chuckle today about how awkward and out of place we were at that ROTC fish camp thing back in high school. We both kept laughing the whole time while we were there, and if I’m not mistaken.. I think we got yelled at a few times haha. Your wonderful personality and kindness are what always made my days better when we had the chance to talk. I know we had grown apart, but you were always there in the hallways stopping to give me a huge hug when you could. Your heart warming smile was a signature look on you, I’m so very happy I was able to meet someone as wonderful as you.

Two weeks ago, Brandon passed away unexpectedly at the age of 23. Ive been in shock since then, most of the time it doesnt seem real.

Brandon was one of those people you instantly liked. He connected with everyone and put effort into maintaining relationships in a way that most of us dont.  He was one of those people that brightens your day no matter what youre going through.  He was constantly smiling and joking around.  In fact, thinking of the way he was always having a laugh has made the last two weeks a little easier. What I really admired about him was the way he worked for the things he wanted. He was overweight, he worked at it and ran 10 miles at a time to get thin. He wanted to go to A&M but had dyslexia and didnt get in the first time he applied, so he went to Blinn and got the grades to transfer. Every summer when I came home from college, I could see the improvements he was making in his life. Brandon was just such a fun, happy person and it rubbed off on others when they were around him.

I am so proud of Kristin and her parents for the way they have handled this tragedy. They keep a strong faith and manage to smile and laugh even though at this time it feels like there is no reason to do so.  They are my second family and I am so lucky to have known Brandon as long as I did.

These thoughts of Brandon were spoken at the end of the Rosary service.  Brandon was a funny, smart, and handsome young man.  I and so many others feel privileged to know him.  Friends have posted what a great best friend he was to them, how he was full of sunshine and their pleasure in being friends with him.
Last summer we saw Brandon at a family wedding.  I really liked seeing how much he and Kristin had grown up.  Both had graduated from college and we're working hard at their respective jobs.  One talent about Brandon I noticed was he would come into a room or situation and pick up on what was needed from him, and usually with humor!  He was fun and had a terrific smile and laugh!  He had a vibrant and sensitive nature to figure out what was best to say or do.  His Christian values helped him to bring  something good to a  situation, ie kindness, humor, intelligence, peace, patience, tolerance, and maturity to name a few.  He was helped to gain this approach by his loving upbringing.  Rita, Perry, and Kristin fostered these traits in their home.  
We enjoyed his beautiful soul for the time he was here.   I hope we can continue his legacy of being loving to all we encounter!       Aunt Amy

You made our family smile every time you were with us.  I could be having a bad week and sitting on the patio and you would open the gate and say hey Mr  Sweatt! I would go in with you and Hannah and you two would change my mood ten fold.  Having you at lunch with the family was crazy good !  There were moments I was like. .. can you please stop and then one moment later I was thank you for my family having fun . You made my wife and I smile every day you spent with us.  Your light will shine with us forever.  Whenever I am having a bad day I will think about you and my day will change ! Thank you for sharing your time with us  .

I am so grateful to have met Brandon in high school. We were both officers for the Student Council and even though I don't remember much of what we did for the organization, I remember the many laughs we shared. He was the reason why I stayed so involved in the club. He would always brighten everyone's mood and just make everything fun!! Sometimes a bit too fun according to the teacher in charge of us, haha! We lost touch after that but I will always hold those memories close to my heart. ❤️

Oh Brandon, I am more than thankful to have met you at Starbucks in Target. We instantly went from being coworkers to being best friends. Thank you for the many memories that I will always cherish.

Brandon worked with me at Amazon. Every morning he would come in and give every single person the biggest hug and greet them like he hadn’t seen them in a year. Everyone should learn to love like Brandon loved. I can’t wait to receive the BIGGEST hug from him when I see him again in heaven. He is one of the most beautiful souls that God has ever created and I know that He is using him.  We miss you, Brandon.

Although we lost touch, I will never forget you and will forever miss you. I last saw you in August of 2017, and even though we hadn’t seen each other in years we were back to our old friendship in minutes. Your kindness and loving soul will be something we’ll all miss. I met Brandon in The PB&J Project at Texas A&M and loved working tables with him. He always made me laugh! I will never forget the time I was in line for an event, and Brandon saw me and waved me down. He came up to me with that big grin of his and asked if he could jump in line with me! And I said of course! Then later that night he messaged me on Facebook and told me how much he appreciated letting him jump in line with me! It was so funny and I will never forget it.  Brandon was always so kind and friendly to me, and I really appreciated that so much. Even though we didn’t know each other super well, Brandon made an impact on my life in the short time I knew him. Thanks Brandon for being a friend.

I'd never met anyone like Brandon. We met at work at the Palladium in 2013. Whenever I saw his name next to mine on the schedule, I knew work would be a blast that day. He always made us laugh and the days working with him were honestly my favorites. We weren't constantly in touch, but spring 2017 I was sitting in class and noticed someone that looked familiar. How lucky was I to randomly have a class with Brandon! We sat together and stressed about the class the rest of the semester. I went to his ring dunk where he went around and made everyone feel included (there were so many people there!). 
 I will never forget his laugh, his contagious smile, his funny catchphrases, some of which I have used for years and will continue to use forever. He was truly one of a kind.

I don’t have the right words to say but in this I leave it in the hand of the Lord our god who has prepared a wonderful place for you up in his kingdom. You have forever left a mark in my life from all the time and memories we made. Your laugh and smile, telling “girl you gonna be okay” and the words of encouragement. I have plenty to say about you Brandon, cause we have lots of memories together from Church and high school  but baby you were an Angel 👼 sent from above who came to touch our lives. Till we meet again, I love you Brandon. Rest easy and please keep making everyone up there smile🙏🏽

Brandon was literally one of a kind. He lit up everyone’s day just by walking in the room, and his laugh was contagious. Whether we were meeting up to have a margarita after a rough week, skipping class at A&M to talk about our problems in the hallway, dancing like goofballs at Northgate and wine nights, or just snapchatting/texting about the most random things you could think of, there was never a dull moment and many laugh-until-you-cry moments. One of my favorite memories of him is from Aggie Ring Day. We see him sprinting towards the building to get his ring, yelling “YOLO, I was supposed to get my ring 15 minutes ago, but no worries.” And that’s the thing, Brandon never worried too much, and his attitude and advice helped me to worry less about things that were out of my control. We instantly became friends when we met, as he did with most people, because he was just the kind of person that everyone wanted to be around. His advice and support helped me to get through one of the hardest times in my life as well. Although I haven’t seen him except a couple of times in the past year, I feel blessed that we were able to have one last conversation recently. He will never be forgotten. ❤️

Brandon was always a joy to work with. He always had a smile on his face, a smile that could light up any room. I enjoyed my time working with him at Palladium, he could always turn my frown upside down.

I met Brandon the summer before our first year at A&M at T-camp and I remember thinking , this guy is going to be a forever friend. We would do everything from running errands at target together to grabbing brunch after Mass on Sundays. Brandon was my very favorite person to get Starbucks with, and I still remember his lengthy orders (extra expresso, sub stevia and almond milk!). I remember I hosted a “Friendsgiving” a couple years ago at my apartment during the holidays and he helped me cook almost everything!! After we graduated, we both moved back home to the Houston area, so we were able to still see each other occasionally, though I wish more! But we always kept in touch through text and phone calls!  I still have voicemails and snapchats saved from him that always make me smile. Being around Brandon was an instant mood-boost. He was so genuine and loving and really cared about each and every one of his friends. I aim to treat people the way he did. Positive, caring, funny— Brandon was a light to any and all who knew him. His ability to lift others up was impeccable. Brandon was literal human Sunshine and I miss him so much! His memory will always inspire me to live fully and treat others with love and light.💛💛💛

What a beautiful soul. I will never forget the millions of laughs, countless glasses of wine and all the real conversations we had. You were such a light in my life on my darkest days. You were there for me in a time of my life where so much was unknown and you supported my every move. I love you with all my heart and will miss you everyday.

Brandon, I remember when we first met in high school at the Palladium.. You always made working gelato so much fun & something to look forward to everyday! You brought so much joy and laughter into my life and everyone else’s. I can’t believe you’re gone, Rest In Peace Brandon you will be missed more than you know. I will always remember the times we spent together whether it be hanging out at your house or work. I was so blessed to know and have a friend like you. I will always cherish the memories we made and all the times you made me smile. I miss you so much already. 

It is hard to put into words the sadness we feel in our hearts.  Brandon was one of a kind and it was certainly the GOOD kind.  He brought so many laughs  and fun times to Uncle John and I.  He was sincere, kind hearted, full of laughter and loved by his family.  Unfortunately, because we live in MN we didn't see him near enough.  But when we did, we took off right from where we left off.  We especially treasure now our time with you and your family Brandon last year at the wedding.  The next day playing LCR with you and the cousins is now a priceless memory also.
Keep playing those games you loved and I will take you to the cleaners when we meet again.

A lot of my favorite high school memories are the result of student council, and that’s where I met Brandon ❤️. Winter retreat, state, recycling on Friday’s (recycling was such a pain 😂) Mannnn, you had a larger than life personality with an even larger laugh!! Lol. After all these years, I can still hear you yelling loud and clear “Oooh hey Jewwweelll!” Seeing you glow up via FB after high school was amazing. Lol. I’m so glad I met you and I’m so sad to hear this news. Life is so crazy. Sigh. Rest well, old friend.

Student Council was my life in High School, and Brandon was a huge part of our group. I was a couple of years older than he was, but I was lucky to have met him the last couple of years at Austin HS. He was always present and participated in almost (if not all) of our events, his passion eventually leading to him becoming President himself. I don't want to seem disingenuous by suggesting that Brandon and I were best friends, or that we have even spoke in almost seven years.  But he is someone who has touched my life. I do believe that we live as long as we're remembered, and I will never forget Brandon Freeman or his bright spirit. It is in these moments that I am reflective of life and of death. Brandon's family, friends and StuCo family: you are in my thoughts today. I think of missed opportunities, and what I might have done and will do differently. It appears that even after Brandon left my life, he continued to shine in others'. We will remember you, you will live on.

Last time I saw you was this past July with all of our families together in Galveston. You were so easy going, funny and playful. You truly were the life of the party when we all hanging on the booze cruise and cart rally. You maybe gone but your memory will live as you smile down from heaven on everyone here. Love and miss you Brandon.

Two days ago, around 10pm in the evening, I saw on Facebook that my beautiful friend, Brandon Freeman, was called to Heaven earlier than expected. 
Brandon was someone I met my senior year of college at Texas A&M University. He was someone where everything just clicked when we were together. He made me laugh until I was on the floor holding my stomach. He was just as goofy as I was and was always down for an impromptu dance session. Brandon didn't have a mean bone in his body. He was kind and loving to everyone, new friend or old friend. 
I remember the last time we had a face to face conversation. I was running late to class and was grabbing a coffee from a Starbucks on campus. It was days before both of us graduated.  I saw him sitting outside on his laptop, sipping on a coffee. I was about to not say hello because I needed to get to class.  I know it was divine intervention that told me to go outside and sit with my friend. We laughed and cracked jokes like we usually did when we were together.  We talked about how insane it was that we were both about to be "real adults" with a degree.  We talked about how nervous we were for the future after Texas A&M.  Sitting with him made me comfortable about the future. It made me feel like everything was going to be okay, that we were going to be okay. 
I missed class that day. Time always flew when I was with Brandon and I never wanted it to end. I told Brandon, after over an hour of conversation, that I would see him later, not knowing it was the last time I would see him. 
We kept in touch via social media after we graduated. His sweet messages and hilarious snapchats always brightened my day. No words can describe how lucky I feel to have known a sweet, beautiful soul like Brandon's. Although I only knew him my senior year of college, he filled my heart with so much joy. He made me feel valued, important, and worthy.  
To honor my sweet friend, I will live life the way he did: in the moment, with love and gratitude. 

While  I only share a few, every memory I have of Brandon is wrapped in a smile, laughter and love. From the very beginning, Brandon welcomed me into the family with open arms and a huge heart. The love and happiness he shared around everyone was so infectious and inspiring. Brandon could walk into a room and the whole place would light up. I am not only thankful for the time I got to spend with Brandon, but I am beyond blessed to have called him family. A piece of our heart is in heaven but our memories will never be taken away. We love you Brandon.

When the Freemans get together it has always been nonstop laughter. Brandon fit right in. He could tell the best stories and my sides would hurt from laughing just listening to him.  My favorite memory is him yelling across a restaurant that he wanted to sit by Aunt Lori.  I can still see him waving at me and pointing at the seat he was saving.  He was the best kind of wonderful. I loved him like countless others, and I will miss him for the rest of my life.

Brandon Freeman an amazing nephew.  He was full of joy and wonder.  He loved the path he was on.  Our family was blessed to have him visit us in Albuquerque, NM.  He spent time with his Grandmother Dee, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.  Three days of non-stop activities. On the last day we were all together.  We played cards and Brandon was a big winner. He was so excited that he had won. He brought smiles and laughter to all of us.   My heart will remember his love and laughter.

I've heard once that a life that touches others goes on forever. With someone like Brandon Freeman, I can say that is certainly the case. The first organization that I joined at A&M did not have many familiar faces, but Brandon always made sure to make me feel like I was welcome and a part of the group. Even after I left the organization, Brandon always went out of his way to say hello to me and ask me how I was doing. On many days, that hello made all the difference for my day. Brandon certainly made an impact on mine and so many people's lives. He will be so missed! 

Brandon was my person. I could always be myself around him. I never worried about if I was too dramatic or too sad or too angry or too excited. He loved me for me. He was always there too. I loved our target runs together. Even if he was working I’d wait for him to be on break and we would walk around target together. He was always there ready to be a bright light in your life. I will miss laughing with him. I could laugh with him forever. 

I went to school with Brandon from elementary all throughout high school. We were always friends and he always made me laugh no matter what. He always made me feel confident and good about myself, as well as on the floor laughing at all the jokes he would make. We lost touch these past few years, but he will truly be missed by me and I know by everyone who knew him. 

My first memory of Brandon was when I was a high school freshman. Some kid was bullying me for being “nerdy” and Brandon told him to leave me alone. I will never forget that moment because Brandon stood up for me. We didn’t know each other, but he defended me and cheered me up. Ever since then we have kept in touch on and off. He is such an inspiration to be true to yourself. He lights up every situation with his cheerful and bubbly nature. Honestly, I’m sure every person who knew Brandon has something good to say about him. It hurts that he is not here with us anymore, but he is never truly gone. Brandon will live in so many people’s hearts for ages to come. I pray he’s happy and I pray he’s at peace. We love you Brandon. Rest in paradise. 

I met Brandon at church. He was always so happy. I think I’ve only ever seen him visibly upset once in the history of ever. We used to hang out at retreats and church events and he knew how to cheer up anybody. So many happy memories with him. He had so much ahead of him! God has his reasons, even if we can’t see them. We love you Brandon! Rest In Peace you beautiful soul. ♥️

Brandon always knew how to cheer up a crowd, his smile was contagious and he knew how to keep us laughing. Brandon accomplished so many things in such a short time, he will be missed.

Heaven gained  another angel. You will always have a special place in my heart. Can’t wait to make you proud and I cannot wait till we meet again. I love you. Always. 

R.I.P. Brandon Freeman. We completely lost touch after high school, but I can never forget how friendly you were to everyone and what an out-going personality you had. I pray that you are enjoying your time in Heaven right now. 

Brandon was such a wonderful person to know. He always was so happy! I remember meeting him for the first time at my wedding, he said “hi I’m Brandon from Texas! I guess we are cousins now.” with the biggest smile on his face! He made me feel like we had been family forever. I recently got to spend time with him in Tiki Island and I remember thinking he is the happiest person I’ve ever met! He always made you feel good and his smile was contagious. I feel so blessed to have the time I did with him and will cherish it! 

I met Brandon at church many years ago. We did our confirmation together and we quickly became friends. We did retreats and used to go to church events and it was always so much fun being around him. He always tried to make people smile and laugh.
God has gained a beautiful soul.


I meet Brandon working at Target , he was just all smiles and very outgoing,  it would be fun days with jokes and you telling me your funny stories.. my kids adored you when they would walk in store and see you & go running give you hugs.. I’m very blessed to have meet you & got opportunity to work with you friend. Your an angel & know that you will always have a place in my heart..  My condolences to the family. 

Brandon, you left us too soon. I'm going to miss you making fun of Norway, asking if we had wifi over here and if we lived in proper houses.. (we do, by the way!) The best memory I have with you is more of a moment- and I don't know if you would remember it yourself- but I remember you once in the car with my family talking about how you had to pick up some things and people to hang out with and you ended it with "I am soooooooo busy!" and everyone in the car laughed because your face was completely serious. And I loved it because it was definitely a "Brandon" moment. That's literally the effect you have on everybody, making everyone around you happy and laugh with your catch phrases ("Problem???") and the best exaggerated rants (was your life ever boring?). You were the best at being you, and I admired you a lot for it. You were always so honest, so funny, so loud, with so much personality and such a great presence- there will truly never be anyone like you. I am so happy to have known you and for you to have been a part of my life. Thank you for putting in the effort to keep in touch with me after I left, I appreciate it so much and absolutely loved watching you living it up in your snaps and transform into the person you had become. I'm so glad that you were enjoying your life. I feel sorry for the people whose lives you won't get to touch, but I'm so happy to know that you've made an impact in so many.

I met Brandon in highschool debate team, and instantly we became friends. We used to sneak off to go on adventures to find snacks or make trouble. He was always such a bright light. Always jumping up to give me hugs, or telling me how great I looked or how well I did. I remember the debate banquet, as soon as I walked into the restaurant all I heard was “OMG! You look so good!” and knew exactly where that voice came from. Brandon always knew how to make people feel good. How to brighten their day. He will always be remembered as the beautiful soul he was. Love you Brandon. Make heaven and bright and colorful as you did our lives.

Brandon was such a riot to be around . With a smile that was out of this world . I’m happy for the memories and the time I got to know Brandon while he was going to A and M. I’ll never forget how often he made my stomach hurt from laughing so hard . He was so loved and will forever be missed ✨ Rest Peacefully Brandon .

Brandon and I met while working at Target. We bonded over our frustrations with work, school, and life in general. Brandon always found a way to laugh about whatever was going on. It's hard to sum up in a few words someone who had such a big, outgoing personality. Who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. I'll forever cherish the memories I have with him. I'll miss hearing his laugh and his witty remarks. The few years I knew him was not nearly enough but I will always thank the universe for allowing our paths to cross.

Even when Brandon was very young, he was special. He ALWAYS had a smile on his face. The love for his sister, Kristin, was very apparent. He was constantly surrouned by friends and was devoted to his faith.  As I saw him grow into a young man,  these attributes only got stronger.  He will be missed here on earth, but I know Jesus has special plans for Brandon in Heaven !! 

I didn't know Brandon very well, but knew him as a customer at Starbucks. He would always come to the store with a smile on his face, even at 5 in the morning. He was a sweetheart to all of us that worked there. Always happy and everyone was always happy to see him when he showed up. He will be missed by everyone that has been in his life, even if they did not know him very well.

Brandon was a ray of sunshine! He lit up any room he approached. A friendly voice and a warm smile that would change your mood completely. Everytime he'd come by Starbucks his infectious smile would be on all the baristas faces. He knew how to make every situation hilarious and his heart was bigger than anyone I've ever known. Love you Brandon, my heartaches writing this but I know you're probably having a killer time in the cloud kingdom. You left such an impact in a lot of people's lives. Rest in peace love. 

Brandon Freeman what amazing thing isn’t their to say about you. For the 3 years we spent in high school together I never once saw you without a smile. You always had this glow this vibrant one of a kind personality. You were the best debate partner I had, the quickest with your comebacks and rebuttals. You left to soon but we’ll see each other again one day and we’ll need to really catch up. I will tell the tail of my sweet but not to mess be reckoned with debate buddy for years to come ♥️  

Brandon, my brother, my friend, my light. 

You were like the sun - warm, bright, full of life and light. You blossomed (best glow up if I ever saw one!) into this beautiful, carefree, confident, joyful soul and I am so happy that I witnessed your growth, even if it was for a short while. I only wish you were here for the next chapter of your life to begin, knowing how excited you were to be starting that new job, and that I could still do life with you. You were one of the only people I stayed good friends with throughout all these years, and every time we picked back up right where we had left off. You inspired, lifted and changed me in ways I can’t put into words and for your love and friendship, I am forever grateful. You understood me in a way few others did. I wish when we spoke that day that I had told you how much you mean to me instead. I never told you enough how proud I was of you for the person that you were. I don’t think you realized how proud your parents were of you either. 

Words still cannot describe nor do my pain justice. The sadness comes and goes in waves, and while I’m drowning in it, I’m also clinging to the absolute joy you brought to my life, and our memories together that I’ll cherish forever. I’m a believer in everything happening for a reason, but it is times like these that test my faith. So, I have to believe that God takes those of us whom He loves too dearly and indeed, He loves you very much. You were too good for this world. My life will never be the same, but even though your light was put out, my memories will keep your spark going. Rest easy, B. I love and miss you endlessly. 

Oh my sweet client! I’ve been cutting Brandon’s hair for 4 1/2 years now and not once did he ever come in without a smile! He was so full of energy and always had so much to talk about it was never a dull moment with brandon! He really touched my heart and i will never forget him.  He was so respectful and you can definitely tell he was raised right! Brandon my sweet friend this is never a goodbye but a see you one day again! Fly high my beautiful friend. U will always have a place in my heart ❤️ 

BRANDON, you were always such a bright light. I don’t remember anyone who laughed and smiled nearly as much as you did and most of all you spread your warmth with ease and indiscriminate candor.  You will be greatly missed and forever cherished by your loved ones, rest in POWER.

Brandon was one of the sweetest humans i have ever met. his laugh could be heard all through out the hallways of Austin HS. that’s when we 1st met. It’s so sad that you left us brandon. I can’t help but remember all the funny convos we had in the hallways. I saw you grow up on social media and blossomed into the most beautiful gentleman ever. Never thought I would be saying this but rest easy my friend. So many people love and care about you. we miss you buddy. I had one pic of us on facebook but I deleted it a long time ago because I was too hideous. but your smile was beaming. wish I still had it. love you kid <3

Brandon was one of our favorite drive-thru customers. We knew it was him from his voice before we even looked at the camera. I made sure to fix his Venti water and come to the window to say Heyyy FRIEND!! You always greeted us with a smile and so much respect. I wish I could just write one good memory of Brandon, but I have too many. When I say he was my best friend, I don’t mean someone I occasionally saw/confided in. I mean someone I loved, spent time with, and cared about like a family member. In high school, Brandon made me laugh every day, and when we graduated; he made me so proud saying that speech on the stage in front of our graduating class. And then college, where we still kept in touch, hung out during breaks when he was home from college station, sometimes he’d come visit for a weekend and he always made time for me and always hung out with me. Then after college, when I graduated, he was with me every step of the way, he helped me move into my new apartment, he made my family fall in love with his spunky and hilarious attitude just like I had. He was an extraordinary person. I can’t believe he’s gone. He will be missed forever, and I’ll think about him every day for the rest of my life. Rest In Peace, Brandon. Thank you for accompanying me on the best adventures. You were one of a kind.
