

Carolyn Parks Harper, born October 8th 1940 in Medford, Massachusetts, to Frederick Baker Parks and Lillian (Eva) Powell Parks (Brannen), passed away in Sugar Land, Texas, September 30th 2026 following a brief illness.
She is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Charles Woods Harper Jr., her son Charles Frederick Harper; her three grandchildren Krystyna Quinn Harper (husband Robert Cody McDowell), Katerina Lynne Himrod (husband Colt Joseph Himrod) and Kendyl Anne Harper; and great-grandchildren Finn Woods Himrod and Ford Joseph Himrod.
Carolyn grew up around greater Boston, Massachusetts, and graduated from Winchester High School. She attended the Boston University School of Nursing and was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She met her husband, Charles Woods Harper Jr., at an MIT fraternity party (Theta Xi). They were married in the Park Street Church on Halloween in 1959.
Carolyn lived most of her life in Norman, Oklahoma. She enjoyed cooking and found joy entertaining family and guests. She was active in the Flora Belle Garden Club, and the Society of Mayflower Descendents.
Carolyn traveled extensively with her husband Charles, spending over 2 years on cruise ships exploring the world. Destinations included most of North and South America, Europe, the Pacific Rim, Australia and Antarctica. She also enjoyed spending every summer relaxing at her Sebim Beach cottage in Villagedale, Nova Scotia, Canada.
A private memorial will be held for immediate family only at a later date. Final resting place will be at River Dale Cemetery, Barrington, Nova Scotia, Canada.
